A little About Me!

Hannah Gothard is a singer and actress from New Caney, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Ouachita Baptist University in December 2021.

Recently, Hannah has graced the stage of Yellowstone Playhouse in beautiful; Island Park, Idaho, where she has performed for the past two summers. Her resume includes performances with various theater companies all over the country, such as Arkansas Repertory Theatre, where she portrayed Louisa in The Fantasticks! in Concert and Rapunzel in Into the Woods. Additionally, she has taken on the role of Elizabeth Stoltzfus in Josiah for President and Rose in Christmas Tree Ship with Blue Gate Musicals in Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania. She has also traveled across the United States, performing in various children's shows with Bright Star Touring Theatre.

She attributes her passion for performing to her senior year of high school, during which she landed her first role as Dorothy Gale in The Wizard of Oz at New Caney High School. This role ignited her passion for pursuing a degree in Musical Theatre and inspired her desire to perform professionally.  After lots of auditioning for various Musical Theatre programs she found the school where she could thrive in at Ouachita Baptist University located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.  While attending OBU, she participated in numerous theatre and opera productions, with standout performances including Beth in Little Women and Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore. During her time at OBU, she also competed in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition (NATS), where she secured First Place in the Upper College Musical Theatre category in the Spring of 2021 for her rendition of “Much More” from The Fantasticks!. Later that fall, she was invited to portray Louisa in Arkansas Repertory Theatre’s concert production of The Fantasticks!. 

Influential figures in her musical theatre journey include Judy Garland, Julie Andrews, Liz Callaway, Audra McDonald, Kelli O'Hara, and Jessie Mueller. Outside of her performances, Hannah enjoys traveling, participating in photoshoots, thrifting, exploring new cuisines and restaurants, reading, binge-watching her favorite shows, and spending quality time at home in Texas with her family, friends, and pets.
